JANE, I LOVE YOU...x

LONG AGO I DIDN'T KNOW
MY WAY AROUND THE PLACE.
WITH FOLD-OUT MAPS I GOT IN A FLAP,
MY DRIVING WAS A DISGRACE.

I WASTED TIME AND PETROL,
TRYIN' TO FIND WHERE I WAS GOIN',
UNTIL I SAW A NEW GIZMO,
THE ANSWER TO MY PRAYIN' !

CHORUS -
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
YOU TELL ME WHERE TO GO.
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
YOU GOT THE SWEETEST VOICE I KNOW.
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
WITH YOU I FIND THE WAY,
YOU'RE THE WOMAN I TRUST,
AND I AIN'T FUSSED ABOUT GETTIN' HOME TODAY.

I WANTED TO BE JANE'S BOYFRIEND,
HER PICTURE BY MY BED.
I SEARCHED IN CARS AND INTERNET BARS
BUT COULD NOT FIND A THREAD.

SHE WORKS FOR A GUY NAMED TOM TOM,
ON A SATELLITE IN SPACE,
I FOUND HER HERE IN A LITTLE BLACK BOX
BUT I'LL NEVER SEE HER FACE.

CHORUS -
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
YOU TELL ME WHERE TO GO.
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
YOU GOT THE SWEETEST VOICE I KNOW.
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
WITH YOU I FIND THE WAY,
YOU'RE THE WOMAN I TRUST,
AND I 'D SURELY BUST IF THEY TOOK MY JANE AWAY!

CHORUS -
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
YOU TELL ME WHERE TO GO.
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
YOU GOT THE SWEETEST VOICE I KNOW.
JANE, I LOVE YOU,
WITH YOU I FIND THE WAY,
YOU'RE THE WOMAN I TRUST,
AND I AIN'T FUSSED ABOUT GETTIN' HOME TODAY.

Thats great man.

I used to have have to drive by Wife Nav when I first moved here. Just like the old sat phone we had a 30 second delay I would drive and 100 yards after the turning she would tell me I should have turned back there;-)

All good fun.

Thanks John - i read somewhere a well known songwriter said a song should be about subjects the writer has had experienced, though many of them get ideas from newspaper articles and TV news, Bowie wrote down random words and phrases, cut them out and rearranged them, Hendrix got lines for songs from watching TV commercials, though i'm not sure which ones! Steve.

That is fantastic. I am beginning to thing that there is nothing you can't turn into a song. Really enjoyed that.

Awesome! Love that one. We call our's  "Lee" , he has an Australian accent and we spend much time yelling at him when he tells us to turn, 3 seconds too late!

That was very creative!

Much appreciated guys, loved doing this one, with enough practice i think i could do it live....hope so!

Gold Award for "Fly" Steve (-:

Clock - you're right, but she sends us to our death so sweetly... (-;

The "Top Gear" Clarkson voice could be fun - when Jane says "turnaround where possible" (one i get all the time!), Clarkson says "HANDBRAKE TURN - NOW"   ...!!!   lol (-:
