Hmmm, plank, must have another look at my mahogany stash. I have 6 or 7 huge lumps of it waiting to be made into something. Perhaps try a bolt-in or glued-in neck .......There's a thought :-)

I keep thinking about building a 'proper' acoustic CBG, then I hear something like this and the noise demon says "Nah, stick a plank of oak and a humbucker in it !".
