Excellent!! I've been trying to noodle through where the slide chord positions would be with open A tuning, but I'm definitely struggling.

Thanks!

@bigb
man, you're pretty much asking me about
a) slide/fret positions for chords
b)transposing regular chords to slide
c) how to interpret music and lyrics, and transpose the chords to slide, and sing it all at the same time
right??

DING DING DING! sounds like time for VI-DEEE-OOO!

alright, really. it'd be easiest to explain this in a video, which i will do. it's probably about time, since i've shown that one can strum and sing ANY song they want with this set up, now i'll show how it's done...

if that's what you want.. :D

OK, I have a question for you dude of dudes. You say you're looking at both the words and the music, but how do you know what fret to play with the slide? I don't read music so it might just be my dumb ass not knowing what I'm doing LOL But how do you take a regular guitar chord which has you putting your fingers on a few different strings and frets and make that in to a chord you can get by placing your slide across all 3 strings on one fret? Do you kinda see what I'm asking? Should I just quit being a simp and take the time to learn how to read music? ( I really don't want to do that LOL ) any help will be much appreciated.
Peace and long life ( as Spock would say LOL )

@mjohnson
thanks for the thought!
the tabs/chords are all online. i just do a google search for "chords [song or artist name]"
works well for me.
i save all the really good ones so i can use them later. i used to rely on a specific site, which got shut down. now i'm paranoid about losing sources. i save almost everything i find now to my computer.

Dang .... I'd build some drums and jam with you ... but don't live close. Keep it up.
How are you coming up with the tabs / chords? You wanna share'em?

@jerryrig240
man i know! i've posted all over the place that we need a drummer.. but no calls!
i'll just keep doing what i do, until some night at a show some dude will come and say , "hey man, you guys need a drummer, can i do it?"
.....
but it hasn't happened... LOL

i'm glad my vids blow your mind!! :D

my whole purpose is really just to show what *can* be done with these things, and i only do a half-assed job at that. i'm always looking forward to someone replying with a vid of their own cover songs on their CBG...

:D

You need some drums........throw in a kilt and a catchers vest and your are Axel'd out!.........No really though, that would sound sweet with some drums.
