Oily, ma man. Ah LIKE your comment, so won't give you a "dressing down"! I guess that in life, we ALL get TOSSED  around, sometime (Mr Cucumber would agree!).Many FORKS in the road of life, ma man!.LETTUCE be grateful that you and I have the cash to be able to  "get pickled". But you always WERE a man who knew his onions! Now there's a "TURNIP for the book" (some of these jokes are older than ME!!). lol

Your reminiscences from your salad days leave me teary-eyed. Mr. Cuke sounds like he got sliced up with the whole Russian dressing thing. I won't rub salt any further into your wounds. You're right; I should have been more sympathetic. To make amends, I'm gonna join you, and pickle myself tonight. ;-)

Aw, come on Bug /Oily, I was broken hearted, my EX was broken hearted. Mr Cucumber eventually ran off,( though fkd if I know HOW) ,  with two open minded Rusina ballet dancers, who he eventually married (Mormon ceremony). But they only married him for entry into country, and eventually left him high and dry (not ideal situ for a cucumber!). But he eventually got married again to a cabbage. They did go through a bad patch for a while, but I hear that they are both livng comfortably now in Tahiti, which makes Bugs link below this even more "a propos" (its in the dictionary, Bug btw)
