made that small donation, Mr RTZ. Thru E Bay using , paypal, (don't like using my card online).So easy thru paypal, if already memeber of   E bay. Can donate direct, (as I did) or buy products that give percentage to the fund. Also gives a chocie of agencies. I picked American Red Cross. Cheers, ma man :)

Thanks for the comments Jamie this was a good post, seemed like the right thing to do. I donated by atm the other day I don't have much money but t try a help when i can. I have a roof and power I don't have to wait for gasoline, we got it pretty easy here and we should be thankful. Happy Hollidays Everyone.

Well, actually, ah WOULD say that helpin homeless more important than lighting up statue. My OWN view. But not ma place to say. I still ahve relatives in USA, distant second  cousins etc. Most lived in Flushing area. Don't know hwere they are now, but was talking on phone to ma Great Aunt Mary  (seriously, btw), here in Glasgow, and realtives her side of family all OK

Think the lighting was a "donation", getting it together, providing electrcity, from large company). Guess theywanted to inspire, which think they did, so well done, anyway. (could they have donated money instead to homeless, or was lighting up the Lady better ie helpin more re "gettin back to normal feeling". Don't know nuff to even guess, RTZ, ma man. Was just sayin :)

They have spent a lot of money on our national monuments lately. She got rebuilt the Washington monument endless.
