Thankyou so much for this lovely comment Nancy, you couldn't have timed it better !

My big brother paid a visit last night and he never pays me any compliments for my music, only criticism.

He thinks this track needs a shruti box and tabla and not guitar all the way through etc etc. I've made over 40 vids and numerous albums and he hasn't said anything nice about one of them !! but then I guess I should dedicate the prayer for inner peace to him :0) and myself for a few days after he's been !

Wow.. Thanks James.

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at just how sweet she sounds. Makes a rather amp for playing tracks via my mp3 or mobile phone too :0) gives it a nice mellow tube like sound.

Andy,

Have a look on youtube  under "radio to amp" or "hacker radio amp".

There's quite a few "how to" vids. Until a week or so ago, I didn't have a clue either.

I'm guessing that your Roberts is battery powered which makes it much less dangerous, both the two I did are mains powered transistor ! but definately don't attempt a valve radio if you don't know what you're doing... loads of high voltage in those babies that'll give you a spikey hairdo and glowing testacles.... Oh, and Death ! :0(

If you want any help, just ask and I'll gladly pass on what I've learnt :0)

A friend of mine who's a bit of a radio head was horrified at me doing such a thing to an old classic radio, but I reasurred him that it's only been slightly modified and could easily be reverted back to a radio.

I also pointed out that it had clearly been fished out of a skip judging by the state it was in !
