Neat idea Bug.  If you could get the sensitivity correct, I could see mounting 2 of them to be used in a heel-toe configuration like a stomp box.  Lots of possibilities...

Great experiment. Perhaps the problem is that the pad was designed to be hit by a drumstick (small area, high pressure) and you're using trainers (large area, lower pressure). If so, stomping your heels in a pair of these should do the trick :-)

Or you could just tape a couple of pebbles under the trainers. Probably easier to explain when Mrs Bug wanders in.

Exactly,,,,,Steve you know about pads... the piezo is under a metal plate....how do I make them a bit more sensative...reduce the rubber?
