Hey, Thanks for all the nice comments!

I haven't been on here in ages.  So, it was a surprise to see this video linked.  The bass isn't a diddley bow.  But, I can see why it might be considered one due to similarities.

The Rubber Bamboo bass has two strings rather than one and is meant to be played like a fretless bass rather than using a slide like a diddley bow.  Of course, it is fretless with just a nut (the node in the bamboo) and a simple bridge.  And like a diddley bow, there is no sound box other than the hollow of the bamboo.  But, other than that, the bass isn't constructed like a diddley bow, or played like one.

No worries either way...call it what you like. :)  I'm just clarifying the point.

Look for a followup video soon.  I've had enough requests about making these things that I'm going to post the how to vid.  Really, it's just to convince everyone just how simple this thing is...LOL
