Mr. JerryRig
Could you explain how your snare is connected to your HiHat.
I'm playing with a suitcase kick bass and a HiHat.
I wanna add the snare.
Haven't seen any photos as of yet.
Thanks Sir
HI

Hi - have you shorted out the second coil? That should fix it if you haven't. Else just try different permutations of the connections before you solder it - should be possible to reduce it quite considerably

If you've got a plank and an E string you've got a diddly bow to test your pickup. Interesting comment - thanks

Hey Jerryrig, New Market is kinda near Louisville Ky right? I think I want to try to get a cbg gathering worked out for next summer for folks in the tristate area. Would you be onboard? I don't think I want to do a full on fest but maybe just something where all the cbg folks can get together and jam, trade building techniques and stuff like that. What do you think?

Jerryrig, thanks for the comment on my vid. Gald you liked it. I like to use heavy reverb on the vocals, big influence from The John Spencer Blues Explosion

Thank you Jerryrig240. The secret really is the Pinnacle movie making software that I received as a gift from John McNair. He really fixed me up. I used to use Windows Movie Maker, but it does not have the same excellent sound quality as Pinnacle. I am only using a little Canon Power Shot SD300 camera with a built in mic to shoot the video. Thank you for your comment. Enjoy.

Jerryrig jjb-electronics pickup. I just bought one of their double piezo pickup with volume control only total $24.95 thats with shipping. All wireing is cover very nicely in plastick very professional looking. The piezo's backs themselfs are covered in plastic. This will be mounted in my new cbg from tinyguitars. I bought one of his new production line guitars.
Hope this answers your question on how they are covered that I read.

Well, not to open a real big can of worms, but I would suggest considering two things.
Musicians are theatrical artists. Being controversal or sensational only attracts public attention. Alice Cooper and his modern day counter point Marilyn Manson are good examples. Ozzy! The Prince of Darkness? His reality show put that into clear perspective. If you want to buy into this fact, they are really the spawn of Satan, it is you who empowers them. They put out the hook...and you take it in...hook, line, and sinker!
Second, there is some truth that many musician become interested in the occult mainly due to the esoteric writing of Aleister Crowley, but then again, the Christian church is responsible for demonizing everything that they do not endorse. Many Pagan religions are not satanic at all. Wasn't Satan a fallen angel from the Christian faith. I think the Druids are slightly older.
Seeing things clearly is what is important, not burning witches at stakes just because you do not understand and are afraid.
Thank you for your response and sharing your personal thoughts.

Jerryrig, the mixer in the photo is a radio shack 4 channel mixer. I will plug mics into it and then plug it into the computer to for the best in lo-fi sound. It is cheap and do the job. It sits in front of the board because I plug it into the power supply that powers the effects pedals to save on 9 volt batteries.

jerryrig240, i just stopped by to answer your question about soaking brass in vinegar. if brass is tarnished(oxidized) it gets a film on it.through a chemical reaction the vinegar heats up the brass and separates the oxidization from it.the brass i used in the pic you commented on was at least 50 years old,any how i let the brass soak in vinegar for 10 to 15 minutes maximum time, then the oxidization wipes off to a certain degree with a cotton cloth but to get it completely off of the brass i used 0000 steel wool lightly rubbing the oxidization away to leave the brass clean as it was when it was brand new. its an old trick i learned many moons ago in a place far away. hope this answer to your question enlightens your path.
