Hey everyone, I have not been on in awhile. I had my neck surgery Sept 3rd and it went well. I have lost some feeling in both hands, more so in the left due to the spinal compression. I have started playing again and I believe God will restore my feeling and strengthen my left arm also! Any prayers you all can muster up would be greatly appreciated, God bless all nation members!!

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

Hey, any new CBG's?

The song I posted today is an instrumental, but to me it is an attempt musically to remember the Reigning Power of God in my life. No matter how uncontrollable life can seem sometimes ,if God is veiwed as the power and authority in your life your problems can shrink to molehills rather than mountains!

Hello, Yes, I know what you mean about wanting to play your CBG rather than your six string. They are fasinating in their simplicity. I'm glad you are enjoying the lessons. Yes, it would be nice to have a CBG festival in our area. I would not mind doing some workshops, if anyone is interested and willing to host one. Please feel free to write if you have any musical questions. I will be posting a new CBG lessons this morning. Enjoy.

Glad to hear Fret.zip is of value to you! If you are using standard tunings by all means check out: http://chordlist.brian-amberg.de/en for more extensive chording options. Jam on!!!

hi Steve thanks for the comments-the pickup in the tin cbg is a Shadow-costs about £27-its a piezo but they cause me problems when its loud in a club-I wont be using piezos in the future myself.

Hey Steve, i use Sharpie marker for the fret position markers. I don't fret one bit (sic). I did one with frets once (toothpicks) but until I get a better neck angle technique, the action past maybe the fourth or fifth fret is just too high for me to consider it worth it to use frets at all. I really like playing frettless and finding ways to improvise chords with the slide.

Thanks for the kind words. I've really been liking the all-hardware approach--it was a little more work fabricating the parts, but it's stayed in tune as well (or maybe even better) than my cheap plate-mounted tuners.

This may become my default method--at least for 3 stringers.

Nice songs up here, man. Reminds me a bit of that R.L Burnside album "ass pocket of whiskey".
