Hello! My name is Kevin M. Kraft, founder of the annual Kansas City Cigar Box Guitar Festival. This year's event will take place on August 26th, and once again I am accepting cigar box guitars and cigar box guitar-related donation, which will be raffled off during the festival, the proceeds to benefit Kansas City's Blues in the Schools program. If you have a guitar, accessory, CD, DVD, books--anything related to cigar box guitars that you would like to donate, please contact me at the Cigar Box Nation or email me at kevinmkraft@juno.com  to learn where to send it.

Thanks for you time and consideration.

- Kevin

Hi David,  This bass is definately cool.  it has 18 frets on it and has a 34" scale.  It was one of my favorite projects.  You can call me at 239-994-1773

David,

Just looking over old posts... how did the amp kits from the Canadian company come out?  I'm going to need something light weight to do during my recovery period.  Do you have any suggestions?

thanks,

Sam

Hello, Sorry for the late reply,

I must have overlooked your message.

Well, I would sure be interested in producing these desings.

I just contacted Shane to see what he has to say about these, but I am, ofcourse, open to offers.

Thank you in advance,

Best,

Vincent

Dave, yep the podcast is up and running, just go to the group page on here for info an links.  I have been trying to put out an episode a month.  It's hard to keep up around the holidays but I should be in full swing in January.  There are a couple of recent episodes and some reloaded ones from the old site.

howdy david,my sound check vids are on my page,i have a lot of different vids that are not really songs, but just short sound samples of the instruments i build so that folks can hear what the instrument sounds like. if you just click on my name it will take you to my page, then if you scroll down you will find my sound check vids then you can click( view all )and select any vid in particular you might want to see. navigation is simple once you get the hang of it. thanks for you comments on the nobody resonator.

Hey David,
If you'd like to use my thoughts, that would be just fine.

As a music educator, the complexities of musicology and musicianship can sometimes be overwhelming. Playing and building cigar box instruments has taught me to make more from less. I've found that often, fewer strings give me more creative freedom. When I build an instrument, I have an intended purpose for it. In my music classes I've started trying to get my students to view their instruments not as something absolute, but as a musical tool at a certain step in its evolution.
-Ben Kepler

Please let me know if you plan to use any of this. I'm looking forward to your book's release.
