Thank you Ellwood for your kind words. It was certainly a pleasure to be "invited" to perform. It was the icing on the cake this year for my annual vacation to Cape Cod. Enjoy.

Ellwood,

RE: the Regalia.  I thought as much.  I bet you had a lot of enjoyment with the dancing.  Live goes on, but CHANGE IS BAD!    :)    My wife and I used to do a lot of bicycling.  We quit due to her knees and other things.  I don't miss it much, but I am getting fat without it.

Thanks, Elwood - on the sound comparison.

I like your photos; black first build, the shot of you playing it with the cool artifacts on the wall and your shop.

Thank you kindly. Sadly the playing is way behind the builds ... but it WILL catch up! Have a nice day. Bri.

Cheers Ellwood. Not all my own work. But this latest fretted build is definitely the one I'm most satisfied with. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the input. I am an accomplished wood worker so that part is easy. What I am slowed down by is the actual spacing of the frets. I have an analog, read slide rule type, caliper. It only reads to .oo so can't get that extra thousandth. It is slow going and my hearing isn't so good that I can't hear the difference probably, so onward I go. I hope to have the box done this week.

Just got your msg. I am building one now. I am having a problem fretting. Not sure how accurate it needs to be. Will have to see. I am also building an amp, mostly from found materials.

I can relate about the ailments, hows your guitar playing getting? I haven't had to much time to learn to play myself, only recently I've committed to playing at least fifteen minutes a day and it seems to be helping.

Hey Ellwood, thanks for friending me bro, my wife makes all types of indian ragalia and beadwork. You might have unknowingly seen her at pow-wows. She's not an indian but dances competitively.

Talk to ya soon,

Eric

hey mr. t bear sir, i just stopped by ta say thanks for the comments in the lap steel plans group,i hope to give folks ideas when they look at things i build--or cobble together--- any how my brain pan ain't like most others---i figger and refigger and add and takeaway all kinds of ideas while working on just one stringed instrument. i build these instruments by hand sitting in a chair in my room, most of the time i build them in my head first, i don't have a work shop so i keep things basic and simple.the only tool i use that is not a hand tool is my battery powered drill. them neck blanks i got are just cut the size of sign steaks you might check that out in your area and find them there-- any where there are political signs up in folks yard and along the highway there is a source for those sign steaks cut from a local mill usually. the sign steak is a good size for a cigar box guitar neck.oh one more thing---- i will have a sample video of both the 4 string and the 3 string lap steel guitars i just recently made.i recorded it earlier today so i,m loading it now on you-tube. i can,t play very well but i still record videos so that folks can hear the sound of the instruments i build for fun. take care mr. t-bear sir.
