Hey Skeesix, I received my prewired pickup and jack yesterday. Fast delivery. Thank you very much for the directions, too.

Great job. Thanks again.

Skeesix, the pickup on your slide guitar instructionarl video sounds nice & crisp. Whats your secret? Do you have a decent amp? (All I have is a crappy Honeytone...)

Hi Skeesix - Thanks for leaving a comment with my last vid. You asked how I got the vocal effect - its not very clear from the vid but I'm using an old telephone ear-piece as a microphone. Inspired by Bluesbeaten Redshaw and Bol Log III. The signal is then routed via some distortion, a bit of compression and then a little reverb was added.

Glad you liked the vid and here's wishing you a wonderful 2011.

Greetings. program!
Many thanks for the excellent pickup, it sounds awesome! With a clean sound, it has a very (for lack of a better term) One String Willie tone, bright & clear, With some distortion it sings & I also add some octave doubler (one and/or two octaves down) to make the room shake. I play it through an old Barcus Berry bass amp w/ a 2x15 Kustom tuck and roll cabinet. Very cool, many thanks for your hard work, it was a complete success, I wouldn't send anybody anywhere else for a one string pickup!

Yep, the open mic night is in Junie's lounge. I usually get there around 9:30 to put my name on the sign up so I can be around 4th or 5th on the list

Skeesix,
Now I am to the point that I can ask an inteligent question. I just posted two pic of my latest prototype pickup. The question is when you press the magnets into the fiber plates Do you use glue or just the press fit to hold them in?

Many thanks
Bob

Skeesix,
The wiring harness would be a for one/single pickup with one tone and one volume. What I would like is a high quality faithfull reproduction of what Ted Crocker sells on ebay. But made by you. And I will pay by money order.
Thanks
Bob

Skeesix,
I am ready to build prototype pickups. I do thank you for your help. I used a standard light switch rheostat as you suggested. I went with the same gear ratio that came with the sewing machine to save time on my build, But I do think a 5 inch pulley or lower ratio like you said would be better.

Now for a little business. What would you charge for a standard cigar box wiring harness with all top quality parts? And will you take a money order. I would rather have a pro make my first harness than me trying to muddle thru. I need only one challenge at a time.

Thanks
Bob

Hey Skeesix,
You did a great job on the Christmas album. Holly Bop is a really, really well done track. Only trouble is . . . I can't get the damn tune outta my head!
