Agreed. You made such a great build. I felt like I may have been ripping you off. I get the publicity aspect and all, but yeah. I don't think this was meant to be. However, it did coax you into building another beautiful beast!!! Keep up the good work, I'll tell people about these amazing guitars being made up in Duluth fer ya!
Hi Dave, yes we are mates for life, will check out the site, got our Gavin here just flown in and can't believe my ears, wishes they were getting married in England and the Spanish life is shit, he's maybe on a bit of a downer and jet lagged but would be over the moon to have the family back but a bit selfish on my part but not keen on the falling out with the Spanish side, rich in money poor in family virtues, just want what is the best for them both but were here for them both whatever happens, love them to bits, 2:30am so time for bed, it's all go so will talk later mate, just good to have him home, been out with his bro so having a great time, big concert tomorrow for Guy and Becks top bands hope the weather bucks up, let you know how it all pans out, all the best mate, oh by the way, got the all clear on the lung infection, looks like the once only pneumonia jab did it's job, hope you have had it mate, worth every penny not that it cost me anything thank's to the good old NHS. Keep in touch mate, Chris. :)
Holy Buckets man! Looking FANTASTIC! Whats the price quote on this puppy? ALso, as far as spacing, Go for whatever you feel is best. My uke is very thin spacing, my 3 string is a bit wider, it's all good. I'll learn. Whatever you feel she needs! Thanks again man!
Howdy Dave, Missed yer message. A thousand apologies good sir! Yeah Winter sure as heck had me down! Man that Cabin fever was killin me! 8 months of snow, makes us Minnesotans who we are though. I'm still interested but the price is too high at the moment. There was a gas leak at work and we couldn't work, and then there was a few days I missed off of work, so money is tight this paycheck. No fun money right now. Gimmie a bit to get back on my feet and then I'm in! As far as the build. Yeah a nasty greasy pickup is preferred! You can go ahead and put it on a sturdy wood cigar box. I got a few great ones if ya wanna use those, including a thick bible box. I'm gonna bolt it onto a sculpture attached to a wood frame, so that'll make it easier. As far as the neck.... ummmm... whatever is cheaper for me and easier (or funner) for you! I will probably keep it a 3 stringer regardless. I like the simplicity. THANKS AGAIN, Talk to ya soon!
Hi Dave, you seem to have enjoyed looking through my pics which is great, the "Ashbone" git turned out really well and sounds awesome. My eldest son Guy claimed it and did me a demo vid, He wanted a fretless neck to do his slide guitar on, wish my playing was up to his standard but the building is more my forte. All the best Dave, have a good weekend, Chris. :)
Hey Dave, I'm back on the grid and saw your comment on the DoublHandy. Thanks for the kind words, they keep me inspired. I'm going to try to do a video as Uncle Toad suggested, It wails with a real player! I'm just a builder... so I've gotta go recruit one!
This video is the unboxing and the demonstration of a beautiful, six stringer built by Louie Lamanna. Join Louie and I June 15 at the second annual Pittsburg...

some brands we in europe never heard of ! thanks, greettzz A.D.
That must be very rewarding. I'm hoping to get to that level someday.
I wish your show was not so far away, or I'd have to come see. Good luck, buddy!

Man, that's well put- I detect the soul of a poet there! I can tell you
that one of the best experiences is to play with that passion and soul.
It will channel to your audience as well as sometimes how you play
something makes simple passages shine. Ain't it about soul anyway?

You're a lucky dog! I'm sitting here doing a little work on my 2nd CBG and
You're in a jam session burning up the strings. Oh, well, c'est la vie
Ken Hale
That's what I'm talking about! There is something about the process
of exploring those alternate tunings and picking patterns that stimulates
the creative process. Thanks for the info, Man. Ken Hale
Hi, Dave
I find that tuning somehow works for speed picking and blues and rock.
Does it fit the cigar box guitar well because it is kinda like the 4 string
banjo? I play some 5 string banjo and it seems the GDGD felt natural
somehow. I'm still learning and searching alternate tunings. Maybe you
guys videos will teach me some more tricks. Thanks, Ken Hale

Glad to be a friend. Any help and comments, positive or negative are appreciated as we can all learn from both.

Was it a Harmony Rocket you were looking for? Saw one in a guitar shop today. Cool old ax. Asking $650 I think. Ouch!
