Lots going on here (though sadly youve just missed Boxstock), and lots planned for the forthcoming year - keep an eye on the Home Grown Music Collective site too!
It's great to hear that you are getting out there and playing. I played (and still do) in bands, groups and musical ensembles of many types and styles, but I decided to play solo with the cigar box stuff and have played in many places. I now also use an acoustic foot drum and a headless tambourine equipped hi hat. I love it. As a slide player, all of the rules can be thrown out and you can really enjoy yourself whilst entertaining.
Keep an eye on the events section for gigs and stuff. I realize that it's mainly American, but it is worth checking it out now and again.
No worries, Stu. This is pretty much an ego free environment, so you can make friends with or talk to whoever you want. There are no cbg gigs planned locally at the moment, but something will come up. Don't forget to take your guitar with you when you do go to one - there's always room for another player. :)
Thanks for the friend message. I see you have joined the "London" group. I was just going to suggest that. Where are you based? I think this is a great site with some really supportive people on it. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment and information here.

Hi Stu
Fancy coming next Thursday
Dick
Cool, a drummer should be fine, you`ve got 10 mins change over, as long as the kit is small and you guys are quick!
Hi Stu,
for The Cambridge Cigar Box Fest, do you want to be listed as "A Boy Named Stu" or "The Sneezy T`s" ?
Can you let me know!
Cheers,
Col
Hi Stu,
I sent you a message on here back on the first and have not heard anything back, did you get my message?
