Hi, Contact Old Lowe about the cones.  They are well made and make for good sound.  They require a bigger than most box.

swrill paint ,take a  buket of warm water ,add like a table spoon of borax to one gallon ,drop enamal paint on top the water spred and mix carefully ,then dip slowly and before you pull what your painting back out clear the surface of left over paint .

howdy c baxter,just stopped by to answer your question about distressing the cigar box on the banjo neck cigar box guitar guitar build. i used sandpaper to go through the original stain then used pipe tobacco and h2o to re-stain the area i sanded,it came out less dark there- then i re-sanded the tobacco and h2o area but in a smaller area to create 3 different shades of distressing. the heaviest distressing is mostly in the areas where the box would wear in a normal fashion over a period of time from playing the instrument.
