Thanks Keni for the comment on my video. Thanks also for the link. I hadn't heard this form of the blues before, but I can see the similarity. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.
Hi Keni, just getting into this CBG thing after failing at 6 string and buying a 3 string from Michael Hutchings in AUS who builds some nice retro guitars. working my way through some videos and appreciated your "walking blues" lesson. Just need more time but thanks for the guidance and straight forward lessons. Very helpful!!!! Jeff Cornwall UK
keni Lee, thanks for your comments. I've started doing the alternate base line exercise and the sliding in the notes from the major scale...it's going ok. Just generally, though, I've been doing Mississippi John Hurt Stuff with metal piks on a resonator for about 6 months...shake that thing...nobody's dirty business...make me a pallet...coffee blues...I'm new to picking but can play em all about about 90 to 95% note perfect...Maybe a direty tone here or there...should i stay on these songs till I get em absolutely perfect or should I move onto new stuff. Generall, do you stay on a piece till you nail it...or accumulate tecknique by giving your fingers something new to work on? (I can just tell you're going to say:"Both!")
Hey now! Your friends call you Keni Lee? I dig what you puttin down. ...never heard the term buski.g until bemuzic post ...I played on the street. It take a lot of heart. I am on a similar course. As my body gives out I have fewer options. At this point continue to keep from literally dropping. The loss of mobility has not impacted my ability( well I played my first two builds for a while. I found that my ' authentic tuners.....Hehe caused the strings to break. Ipro a my have loads to learn, but more computer challenges lea e me with a not-so-smartphone . Hard ...can't upload footage from the canon. Need a new laptop, but the cash is...well not coming . I am going as far as I can before that last drop. I wont get back up one day. The Island is great for wintering over. I nneed to be a little closer to a bus or something. Plan to move back when I can. The West Coast im fairly well known. Gigs are easy to get. My CBG and amp ( 1948(?) Magnatone troubador, fit with my harps and mid....I can carry it. I front ok. My B3 and piano............you can see why im enthralled here. My road acquaintance, Big Jack Johnson showed me hisCBG before using it solo for two verses just how many people will run to hear it. Pinetop, my old friend (rip ol buddy) told me...just play the chord and sing. Let the band bac k you up. That's what you payin em for... thanks for your encouragement
I'vbe bought your instruction cd's...for bottleneck and CBG's...and am just about to launch into them.
I'm working quite hard (certainly a few hours a night) on fingerpicking with metal piks on Mississippi John Hurt stuff...it's improving, but boy it's slow! Slowly, slowly catch the Monkey, I guess.!
Howdy Kenny thanks for your comment on my Knowbodys Fault video,
Kenny ..it is your fault ! Matt was playing the song then stopped ,i asked if i could play him my version [YOUR version from your excellant cds] and he loved the strum between, then he added it to his version ! which is the video...thanks Kenny for getting me started on a 3 string !!

always like your page, great tunes:0)
I'll probably try and get the CD for the 4 string first. That's what I'm currently playing is a 4 string.
I'm gonna have to get one of your videos to learn to play the guitar.
