I erased my blog after rereading it. Was trying to say that as a novice I had asked a lot of questions I had not been ready to ask. In their wisdon the experienced had avoided answering knowing I had to learn some fundamentals. I also had made some very inacurate assumptions that needed to be corrected but I had to discover by myself that I had jumped to wrong conclusions and made wrong assumptions. Slowly I did learn those fundamentals and when I did the questions began answering themselves. But rereading realized that is not what I actually said - sincere apology.

Thanks for your friend invite wes, I am going to try one of those boost boards I have never really been happy with volume levels on low output amps. I have one I am about to start and will try to incorporate a boost board internally in the build. Let you know how that works out. Cheers Dave.
Thanks for the friend invite and for the information, Wes. Maplin do a small 7W amp unit in the UK but it's interesting to see the one you use, which is designed for small CBG amps. Your amps certainly sound great.
thanks for the like on my lil may bell. my friend built her for me, i had never really even seen one. i knew what they were but this was my first encounter with one. i havent even really touched my 6 string since, i think she's jealous. i want to build one now, i think i wanna do a banjo, four string, with a cookie tin or a hubcap or gas tank or something. either way, im definitly into this. i can see my time being occupied for a very long time now!
Hey Wes. Your being the amp guy around these parts, I thought I would run something by you. I found these really cool Perdomo boxes that are around 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 4" and was thinking about building amps (only) into them. Thing is, I'm not sure if it would be practical for guitar use because it would be more like a head unit and require a smallish outboard speaker cab.
Have you ever built small amps only to use this way or just combo amp/speaker? This arrangement is pretty desirable for Audio guys but not sure how practical for guitar guys.
These boxes are really not big enough to build a reasonable speaker into them (in my opinion) but just too cool not to do something with them.
