My daughter's first grade teacher invited me in this afternoon to play the guitars I've made and a couple that my daughter has helped put together.

I suggested that I have a couple acoustics, but the kids might like it better if I brought an amplifier with me.  Heh, heh. The teacher agreed. . .

Let's see how it goes.  Cold Cereal Blues is getting it's Bad Finger CBG debut on the lawn at the elementary school today.

Yer right, that would not play well at home. Hmmm. A custom Skewl of Rawk for teach would be better.

Does she look anything like this (scroll about halfway down, just below Jerry Seinfeld)?:

That's my daughter's uke otherwise I would let it go.  I can't really give it away on her.  I plan on leaving it with her today and hope it will come home without too much damage.  :)

This is the last week of school here with only 3 days left.  I'll probably make one for the school music teacher as a gift.

I like The Kid's idea of donating one. Coud you part with the lunchbox uke there in the back? Kids would dig that.

Thanks guys.  The school didn't accept any of the riders on my contract.  And refused my contract.

On the fretting, it was a combo of running short on wire, generally getting tired of cutting fret slots and convincing myself that those other frets really aren't needed most of the time (for me).  And it looks a little funny so people ask questions.  :)  The guitar is tuned gbe and it would be handy to have fret 13 when moving up and down the neck with a D chord shape.  :-\

All I can say is be careful!
I'm kinda obliged to have one every time I turn up at the kindergarten now...

Great stuff, see if you can donate one, it'll make u a legend to the kids and drive the teacher bonkers

What's with the fretting on that nearest one, running out of wire so only did the important ones in the second octave? Interesting approach :)
