help radio guitar amp conversion

The radio I have has 3 lugs on the volume pot a blue wire thatgoes from the volume pot to the circuit board. A red wire that goes from the circuit board to the volume pot then from the volume pot to the tone and a yellow wire that does the same. I posted before and you guys said that the volume pot is where I have to work the problem I'm having is I've tried cutting a guitar cord and touching the circuit board where the volume wires lead nd got no guitar amplificatio. Then I tried it to the volume pot and also got Nothi. I also took a guitar jack wired it and tried it to the circuit board and also to the volume pot and nothing. I really need help. Also do I cut the wires to the antenna? It shouldn't be this hard. Everyone says its so easy.
