My Names is Leadfoot and I have an addiction!
They say the first part of recovery is to admit you've got a problem and I have to admit that I have an addiction! Last night after coming off stage at the Icklesham Beer Festival I had a realisation just how serious my problem has become. I'm completley hooked on playing Cigar Box Guitar Rock Blues live! Playing on a big stage and through a professional PA with Sound and Light engineers was a real buzz and rush. I loved being up…Continue
Had a brilliant gig last night at Burgoyne Heights - the place was packed with over 125 people! I'll pop up a video in the next week or so!
Ive added a video of Saturdays gig at The Priory - hope you enjoy! Now looking forward to Thursdays gig at The Grand Woolwich Theatre.
All the best,
I had a great gig last night at the Priory with people up dancing and stompin their way through the 2 x 45 min sets. I could feel the floor vibrating when the audience stomped - at one point it nearly toppled the pa speaker and stand over! Introduced a whole lot of new people to the Cigar Box genre and as usual Kevin Dore was awesome on bass.
Looking forward to the next gig - tonight at Burgoyne Heights for the Jubilee.
Leadfoot T & CBG its no 1 on the Reverbnation charts! Thanks to anyone on the Nation who has checked the Reverbnation page out & listened to me and Fingers! I think its phenomenal that us CBG'ers can take our instruments and hit the top spot in mainstream charts.
Please keep us there and spread the gospel according to CBG. Click on and listen to a track or watch a video!…Continue
You can check out my new album on a 2 part podcast at http://leadfoott.podbean.com/ The podcast gives you a run down on how I came up with each track on the album and the meaning behind the songs. All tracks are written by me and I play the cigar box guitars, harp, percussion and gravel mouthed vocals on every track whilst Fast Fingers Kevin Dore provides phenomenal thumping bass lines! It's where rock and blues collide in a…Continue

Fast Fingers and I will be hooking up Saturday to produce our first album together. I'll be laying down the beat on the Samsonite Foot Drum, cigar box guitar and gravel mouthed vox whilst Fingers adds his supersonic pulsing bass lines. Its gonna be 100 mph rocket fuelled, foot stompin, cigar box rock blues with a twist of harp!
As the project progresses I'll post updates.
All the best,
Following on from my post gig report I can confirm that the total raised on Sunday for Help for Heroes and the MS Society Charity gig was 625 pounds!
Not a bad evenings work I think!
The incredibly talented Col from StumbleCol has today asked Leadfoot to play at the Cambridge Cigar Box Festival 11th August 2012. Col has been an inspiration to me from when I first got to see him "doin his thang" on YouTube. It's an incredible honor for me to be asked. Naturally myself and Fast Fingers will be attending to play a 30 min set! I hope the Nation get behind Col in promoting this event spreading the word and attending in droves. I'm sure once Col has finalised the events…Continue

Last nights Leadfoot gig for Help for Heroes and The MS Society went down a storm. The cigar box genre and ethos was eaten up by all present with loads of questions regarding the guitars and suitcase drum. The Landlord tried to re-book us on the spot for tonight!
I personally had a blast belting out the Leadfoot grit & gravel rock blues live along with Fast Fingers Kev "The Bass"ment Dore. For a couple of the tracks a new face called Beetroot Steve joined in rocking out on…Continue
The dates set and the venues booked to take the Leadfoot sound out to the masses. Myself along with Fast Fingers "The Bass"ment Dore (Pro Bassist Kevin Dore) will be playing a 45 min set this Sunday (6th May) at the Dover Priory Hotel in aid of Help for Heroes and The MS Society. These are two great charities both dear to our hearts! The day starts at 14:00 and runs on till late with other bands / musicians playing through out the day and into the night. We will grace the…Continue
Pro Bassist Kevin Dore joins the Leadfoot line up!
Kevin is a phenomenal musician with a wealth of experience. He has toured the world with the Geoff Everett band and supported the likes of The Hot House Flowers on a USA tour. He has also lived in both New York and Miami living as a talented session musician.
Kev will use his talent and experience to focus on developing the Leadfoot sound and experience into a Raw Live Grit & Gravel Foot Stomping Blues…
Hooked up with Kevin Dore - Pro Bassist yesterday for a jam and to work on a Leadfoot collaboration. Kevin is a master musician who's toured and supported in the UK and USA some fantastic bands / musicians. Kevin's talents and driving bass lines have really raised the Leadfoot bar, filling out the sound providing more grit and gravel. We are now working on a set for live performances. I'm really excited about collaboration and fuller sound - Gigs coming soon!
