How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?

How many instruments have you built so far?
none- I'm accumulating parts and Ideas
What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).
What I find most interesting is how I could play Guitar for so many years and never even know about CBGs and there historical importance, That and the beautiful simplicity of 3 or 4 strings. To think I would still be clueless had I not stumbled on Justin Johnson playing a shovel on YouTube, which led me to Cigar Box Nation and a whole new world!!!

Finally got this done, started as a 3 string but I made the neck wide-1 7/8" for my big fingers but I didn't like the spacing so I made it a 5 string. The full size picture didn't come out here like it looks in the camera but you get an idea. Made the body of pine 1 by scrap, top and bottom from some thrift shop car plates, pre wired GB GITTY pickup, Shanes' tuners. I like it but I'm starting on a simple 3 string, with frets(Gitty slotted fret board), a real cigar box, and a piezo pickup
