"I've built a few 6 strings,   electric, electric/acoustic, and classical. 12 x 8 is a size I like, but I've built a 14x8.5 box in one case, and used a 10 x 7.5 cigar box for the classical. Check out my photo albums if you want…"

2nd Build Begins - Day ONE

I started my second build last night.

I picked up the following materials

Poplar : 1/4"x8"x4'

Poplar : 1/4"x2"x4'

Poplar : 1/4"x3"x4'

Poplar : 1"x2x4"

 

I cut the desired lenghts that I wanted to make. Which was a box with

7-1/4"x10"x3"H

Yes you will have to cut f holes to get any acoustic sound. Without holes it will not produce much sound.

Cheers Loco, Ben made my 4 stringer and tuned it DGBE, so Ill take it down to DGBD 1st, but will experiment and let you know how I get on with things.

   I and some others have the best success on videos by joining youtube(free).  Uploading there and embedding to the nation.  I am no computer expert, but ask if you have trouble.
