It's a wooden Montecristo, pretty good nick. The woman I spoke to was somewhat taciturn, so I can imagine they''d be pretty unhelpful. There's a whisky place on West Nile street that are much nicer - I've been told they'll give you empties for a pound.

Birmingham, 3rd October - its the 1st of what will be an annual UK cigar box fest. ChickenBone John and Hollowbelly gig on the night, workshops / demos / buy an sell etc during the day - theres a poster on the main page or have a look in the 'Events' section. Should be a good craic.
Thanks for the comment on ma stomp box too - i put a note on the vid, but incase you dont get there, how about using 2 rubber feet off an amp (get 'em on ebay) to make your box slope? The rubber stops it slipping too. I found that even with a sloped box, it still ran away the more ya tapped it. As a side note, it helps to fill the void with something too - I used foam
