Hi. Saw your question about fret spacing and not sure that you got an answer. It's diatonic fretting as used on mountain dulcimers and similar instruments. It gives you the notes of one scale (major or minor) without the other frets that would be used on chromatic fretted instruments like guitars. Hope that helps and makes sense.

Hey it's a good addiction, isn't it!?!?!?!?
I know the yard work all to well. Then again as soon I'm done with that, I'm either down in the basement building and/or destroying/ tweaking something. Or rescuing my older sister from her two little ones, all before night class!

Hello, the best of the holidays to you as well, A Meteorite Pick-up is one that I took a real slab cut from a real meteorite , and made a one of a kind winding, with the wire directly around the(meteorite) slab for that part of the Pick-up : )

Hi Sam!

The first string is thin one. Right?

I use normal gauges as 0.10 guitar string set. You can use whatever gauge you want, but be carefull! 90% of the CBG builders don't use trussrods in their guitar necks, and if the gauge is too heavy it can bend your neck as a banana.

And you can search here in the Nation, forums talking about How To Play Play CBG, and things like that...

You can use any tuning, normaly people prefer open tunings as open G or Open D.

Cheers,

Fernando.

Hi Sam!

I use to tune my cbg's with open g tuning, B-G-D-G, down to up. But in my videos I'm using a tuning one note or half a note below, something like A-F-C-F.

Second, third, fourth and fifth strings.

Open G -------- Open F

1 string - D --------------- C

2 string - B --------------- A

3 string - G --------------- F

4 string - D --------------- C

5 string - G --------------- F

6 string - D --------------- C

Cheers,

Fernando
