Electronics Problem

Hey guys how's everything goin ??I'm just wondering if anyone could help me out...  I've wired up a few CBG's successfully but lately i've been having a few problems with humming / feedback..I'm just using a piezo buzzer with a volume control and of course a 1/4" input jack.   For some reason when you plug the guitar in, there is a slight humming sound.  When you touch the volume knob with your hand the humming sound is really maximized.  And what seems even weirder is that when I touch the…See More

Hey everyone. I'm new to this site so I thought I'd let you know about my myspace page. It's got some originals I've been working on lately - only one song with Cigar Box so far but there's gonna be more to come! Anyway, check it out at www.myspace.com/stevetyssen

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

Steve.
Shane has put my CBG building article in the free plans section. I have "stolen your Piezo diagram" for it.

Please forgive me. BTW it works OK

Hey Steve...I like your detailed photos. They have cleared up a few things or me and have given me some ideas. Couple of questions..... When you have a box with a thin top, it looks like you are gluing the neck to the top, then when you close the box, the neck fits into the slots cut in the bottom. Is that what you are doing? Also, it looks like you are adding some bracing/support inside the box. Does that help with the stability and sound?
