"Jess had been involved in the original thread, and he backed out to let Mark handle it. I just sent a message to Jess, asking him if he wanted to pick it up. If he does, great, if not then you and Ash are more than welcome to jump in.
I could use some help here. I promised to make a CBG for NIcki Tarant but have not had the money to drive to where my tools are to complete. It has been over a month since I have been able to work on it and i'd like to see her get a CBG to play Will one of you take this on so she can have her own CBG? Thank you and I am sorry I have not kept my promise to her. MarkSee More
Hi Mark - Just saw your comment and question regarding the drum beats I used on that video - It was just one of the preset patterns in my Boss RC2 loopstation pedal.
These days I'm getting more into playing drums with my feet while twanging on a cbg. Challenging but really good fun.
Thanks for checking out my vid :-)
Thanks Mark! Let me know what you dig up, with posts......some kind of "meet up" would be fun in the course of the summer,,,,,alot of parks have facilities that can be rented,...I'm terrible at organising and it's hard for me to leave home, ever to overnight events (one evening , like open mics, do-able) due to being on call for my PA, 89. and sons....and yard, and cats...LOL...I'd love to visit an open mic----been meaning to check out the Monday night in Sac, every monday, (fox and goose?) and just pop in, but i don't much like night outings in DT Sac anymore, unless I go with someone....sketchy! Auburn CA has a few open mic nights,,,as well as further north...grass valley nevada city area ///// my responsibilites combined make my online window to share what i do, really a blessing. Be sure and get acquainted with Rodney Fruits...he is going to be local and is building some REAL incredible instruments....!!
Playin a lil of everything....:-) uke, CBG, REso slide tunes....wish I had time to try building, someday maybe ...it's always neat to see northern CA members pop up. WE'll have to have a hoedown, someday!!
Thank you Mark for your response. I am sure you will find CD4 (3 string CBG) offers a lot of great ideas to explore playing your new build. Although I am not a builder myself, please feel free to ask if you have any questions, or want a suggestion to point you in a good direction to find the correct answer. Enjoy you build, Keni Lee
