I like the surprise factor that I get with each build.

Surprise #1: Personally I love the part of the process when I apply oil to the wood. It reveals the colors and depth of the wood and the detail of the grain.

Surprise #2: After more than 150 builds I still get anxious when stringing the guitar for the first time and listening to her voice. Each one is different and I love the fact that is never the same.

U guess that is what keeps me hooked after several years.

Hi all!

Here is my journey and how I ended up building CBGs. I guess that as most here, I started playing standard guitars with standard tuning, then I discovered open tuning (Open G in particular) and  I realized I didn't need as many strings or finger controsions to get the sound I wanted...  I got into old blues and discovered CBGs.

I love it because I can combine some wood craftmanship work with music. I like the fact that I don't know how each one is going to turn out until I string it up, each one has a voice of their own.

Thank you all for your contributions of ideas, advice, music, photos, etc.. really enjoy it.
