"BTW, I used a  three wire stereo (female) input jack.  That way the circuit is only "ON" when a plug is inserted.  Otherwise, the battery may run out even when your aren't using it.  Good luck..."

"Thanks.  I have to admit I got part way through my second one and when I figured out how to do a scarf joint I put it aside.  Moved into a Martin  000-18 (kit guitar) that I should have finished in about two months."

"Perfect! Thank you.  This is my first attempt at a circuit board.  I'm putting it in my first CBG.  I dig your work."

"Simple%20Pre-amp.pdf   I've attached a pdf of the pre-amp schematic.  With the mess in my workshop I surprised myself by finding it so quickly! I think I wired it up in less than 45 minutes."

Thanks for the string advice buddy! I bought a cheap set that had .042, .032, & .022. They worked out great. Now I just need to learn to play :)

If you have a guitar, copy the scale length from it. I used a thin aluminum bar from Lowes, laid it on my Martin (one end up against the nut) and marked the fret positions.

You can get templates here: http://www.scalelength.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=68

The 20 inch scale is a free download. I used it to make this guitar: http://www.cigarboxnation.com/photo/albums/4-string-cbg-5
