"Were your strings marked A (.042) D (.032) G (.024)? If your .042 is an A (which it normally is in a set of medium acoustic phosphor bronze strings, for a 25.5" scale), then you need to tune tha A DOWN two half steps to G, not up."

Did finish a 3 string CBG with 25,5"scale and bridge and nut using a bolt.First it was fretless and tuned to GDg using strings .042-.032-.024.Than I dicided to make frets. Glued toothpicks on the neck and tuned it again. The thinnest and middle string went okay. But the thickest isn't going well. All it goes from E to A to D when adjusting the tension. Can't reach the G. If a tighten it more it breaks.Anyone can help me?See More

Honsik ... I was in your position a month or two ago, but the people on here are really helpful, and trust me, dont be afraid to make a guitar and get it wrong ... I think we all have.

Enjoy it, and when you get that 1st one up and running you will be hooked.
