How much have you guys been spending on a piezo pickup for your gbg's? I've seen them range between 20 and 200 bucks. Looking to stay in the lower price range but will it be sufficient or a cbg?

Any suggestions for afixing tub drain covers over my sound holes? Wood glue? Bubblegum?

"I use one of those too, but have had better luck with the piezos, at least as far as home recording is concerned (I haven't tried them through an amp yet, just pluged directly into my Mac). I have found EQ adjustment an absolute plus! "

"I bought twenty of them on Ebay for 7.95 plus shipping. I soldered them myself. They work like a charm and the price was really cheap. I would never pay more than 3.00 for one as they sell all day long at Radio Shack for that."

Thanks for the Welcome....just got into cigar box guitars...a friend at work makes them...and told me about this web site...so far i have found it helpful...hope to make one and hear it played in a bluegrass setting...me i dont have a musical note in my body...but i am very handy with tools and want to make a few...well at least one and hear it played
