- Everything. The history espcially. The depths of such a basic instrument stretches on and on. The sound is raw but warm and friendly. I find cbgs inspiring.
Hi all, here's some pics of my very first cbg. As can be seen, she's a bit rough. The neck is a piece of 3x2 oregon whittled down to shape. The fret board and tuners are off an old electric guitar that'd seen better days. The plate for the strings is made from an oven tray and the bridge is a bit of scrap that was close enough. There was going to be electrics in this guitar but I'm afraid I was too impatient and just wanted to play it. Now I can't put it down. I absolutely love this guitar. It doesn't play too bad and the more I play it the better it sounds. I have 2 "ordinary" guitars that I've had for years and I haven't touched either of them since I "finished" the cbg. Anyhoo, thought I'd upload these pics for your perusal and any comments'd be great. Have fun everyone ;-))
