Dave Lynas said… Hey Chris, thanks for the compliment. I've been at a gig all afternoon and had a great time. I played my newest old lady Electomuse lap steel most of the time. Alas, she gave it up after the last verse of the last song, Wreck of the old 97. The old crusty chord from the 40s went out, not to return. Tomorrow, a new chord and work on her pots to try and clean them. It will be fun to see inside the metal control plate. I love the old ones...

Steve Becker said… - Chris, thanks for you comments. I used birch for the nut, poplar for the bridge, and oak for the fretboard and neck. I stained the fretboard with a homemade vinegar/steel wool stain found in the group "Secrets of the CBG Underground". Your Olivia build looks great! I like the offset position dot idea. I may have to borrow it for a future build.
