"If they're color coded, a green lead might be a dedicated ground to the shell of the pup. I had a very basic Tiesco style pup recently like this. Just connect it to the ground on the back of one of the pots and you'll have nice hum free…"

Want to Buy: single piece of tall or tallest fret wire

Hey all,I need a single 3" or so piece of tall or "tallest" fret wire to finish a rebuild. I'm working on a CB Bass for a customer who gave me an old beater short scale to use for parts. The neck has a zero fret that I refretted with medium wire like all the rest, but now I'm having trouble getting the action down where I'd like it. Part of the problem is that I have very little relief in the neck (only three strings now, and it must have some backbow) but I think I can get things down a bit…See More
