It's a lot o work, no-doubt, but when I done it is was tres cool!

That headstock/neck was made from a typical 1x2, so the neck and headstock is 1.5 inches wide, .75 inches deep. The eye bolts, I've since forgotten what size they were... but if ya went to your hardware store and bought some, just look for some that look big enough to drill a hole through the shaft of (assuming you were gonna do the same thing I did).
If ya have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
