in the process of a similar build.

quick question. do most cigar box guitars still functionally work (in terms of the cigar box).  in other words, does the cigar box still function and open?

I was going to chop the width of my liberty camacho box down so it it not so wide (thickness) and try to re-attach smaller hinges so it would open. the original piano hinges may not work if i narrow the depth of the box.

Very nice. I like the color contrasts.

My own 6-string project has hit a bump....I can't find a big enough box. Need one about 14" long to accommodate my Strat neck. I thought of gluing two identical boxes together...The ones I had would be TOO long.
Annoying.

I love this design. I have a passion for teles and a tele with a box is the best. Nice build, that is something I definitely would like to build. Any videos or sound clips?
