thank you..that was my attempt at hand cutting the corners.It took me a couple of tries.
The wood,I believe is poplar.It comes from an old broken pallet from the rail shop I work at.
The top and back are from a 1/8 birch plywood scrap I picked up for 5 bucks at the local lumber yard.
Thanks for the encouragement!Gottta start the next one as soon as time allows.

Sort of a Greene & Greene style joint...instead of being raised they are flush. Looks good.
