This is what I think is a St. George hollow body electric. A guy down the road from me found it in a travel trailer he bought, and the old owner didn't want it back. He gave it to me for free because he knows I'm into guitars. There are a lot of parts missing, but I think I can at least use it for a pattern if nothing else.

Comment by Dave Lynas on July 7, 2012 at 10:58pm Hey Rusty, i love getting carcasses of old guitars. I have a Regal lap steel from the 30s and a Harmony lap steel from the 40s. I can trace them onto planks to build from. I love them. Someday when i've made enough of my own from them i'll rehabilitate them and search for old pups and controls in the meantime. I think you have a nice shape there to work with. I've also got some body blanks off ebay that have pockets for pups cut for you. They make a fun build and come out nice. I paid $20 each for them. "Barncasters" is what they're called.
