After listening to the main page interview Shane had with Rob Wrobel, I looked up the "quarter" width technique of setting the string height at the 12th fret to .070 inches (1.7 mm) and adjusted the bridge of my latest "Java Mint" CGB build to that specification by lowering the bridge until the 12th fret strings cannot make a tone when lightly plucked with a quarter sitting on top of the 11th-12th fret. The resultant string height at the 20-21 (last) fret on this CBG is now 2 mm above the fret. All fretted notes play cleanly (no buzzing) on each string when running a test up the entire fret board for each string. I'm going to make this adjustment for each of my earlier builds (except for the fretless Uncle Crow build - I like it just the way it is!) :-) The good news is that making this adjustment doesn't appear to have adversely affected my playing this CBG while using a glass or metal slide...
