Nobby you dont have to worry about the depth if you use a wooden dowel and cut them off.

That's a great idea Randy. Love your work by the way, killer finish and ideas. Love that bocote wood on the Amish Harp too, I've never seen it before.

I used screws because i made another fretboard with standard guitar fretting on it, now i can switch it on if i want

heh, I've seen a few like this and thought it looked cool. Seemed easier than getting the depth right for dot markers too as I've only got a hand held power drill. Had a close call with one of the 12th fret holes - the bit literally bit into the wood and made a much deeper hole than I needed, so I just used a slightly longer screw!
