It has been copied and probably still is today. I`ve been thinking along those same lines but with my own twist to the design.

Hre`s more info on that history made bridge..http://banjobridge.com/stu.htm. I saw Pete play at the Philafolk festival back in the 80`s. He had that long neck banjo with that one of a kind bridge.
