That's pretty much it. One of the members here, Josh Gayou, has posted a book he wrote, "A Guide To Advanced Cigar Box Making", that explains the process. Well worth the (free) download. That was where I got the inspiration to try my hand at a scarfed headstock this time.

Now I'm trying to figure out the assembly process of the head?  You don't need to give away all your trade secrets but I'd guess you did the scarfed piece in the center first and then added the two sides?
