Just finishing up a new skull instrument, this time it'll make some noise with a piezo in the bridge!

Wow, you've something to play on Halloween.

Great concept.

Theres a 1/4 thread insert in the neck and I slipped an allen head bolt into the opening where the spine would start... turn the neck until its almost tight then finished it with an allen wrench

happy with the way this one fit together... the neck and fretboard sit snug to the skull

How did you attach the neck to the......neck?

Thanks!  Yeah thought about doing a bone nut but that black ebony matches everything nicer... and I don't like the smell of bone dust haha

I've made some other skull instruments and this is the first that can be played... even though its a little awkward

need to make some kinda base for it to stand it on

I like the volute curve behind the nut, and shaping the back of your headstock.  Very artful.

Now QUIT FREAKING ME OUT like that!

I guess a  bone saddle and nut would have been overkill.

Crazy, cool instrument. Thumbs up!

Rather unsettling. Reminds me of RAUSCHENBERG's monogram.
