Nail Pick-up - Triple2 - Three String CBG

Nail Pick-up - Triple2 - Three String CBG

I think my nail pickups are a totally new design. I don't ever remember seeing anything remotely similar. Correct me if I'm wrong!

cool. ive been using neodynium circle magnets. really strong close up. so any metal thats magnetic is game. plus as they are so small. it really helps all types of set up. . nice job yet again JP.

This discussion is getting wonderful. What about the refrigerator... magnets, right? Oh well, just a thought.

The wires just go to my 1/4" jack.  No power supply.  Just three really strong magnets on a nail with some wire wrapped around it.

If creative guys like you take off from my simple designs here, there's no telling what might be born.  I just started thinking about the basic elements of any magnetic pickup....magnets, metal and wire (a conductor).  Just think of the multitude of possibilities just using various forms of those three items?!?!?!?!?!  Think about it...

i  think  the main  question    / or  "confusion"   is ,     if   you   use a power supply (as  the science   class  project  we are all   familiar   with  , to   make a "electro magnet" .

the  cords coming  out of the   box  in your pictures   may hint at that  to  some  .

instead of   just adding   earth  mags   to  the nail   itself  .  or magnetizing the nail  in advance

 with no power supply .

its  the  first thing i looked for anyway  ,, and    the one picture  basicly   answers that .

awsome    "back to  basics" design  man ..  thats  what  tis  is all about  ..    kootoos to you  ;-)

You guys are too much!

I guess I'll have to type up some instructions on how I make them.  It's so easy even I can do it!

I don't mind sharing with my CBN family who always share freely themselves.....but if someone decides to start making them for sale, I want a dollar a piece royalty!!!!!!!!

I'll see if I can remember how to do a video for you guys.

Ya Tor, i want to "copy it right"!! Just kidding, But i'd sure buy one if i could. I like the upright single nail model for a diddley bow.
