Me and Chit-Head in 1953 after the cattle stampede.

Me at age 3 on my pony Chit-head, riding the range, branding cattle, fixing fence, eating beans around the campfire and playing a 3 string CBG.

Chit-head insisted that we eat pinto beans. His favorite campfire song was Bingo - 'There was a farmer had a dog and Bingo was his name-o.'

This was photo was taken the morning after the thunder storm when 1200 head of long horns stampeed. Chit-head and I got out in front of the herd and turned them just before they plunged over Dead Horse Cliff.

Sadly, Chit-Head got old and was put out to pasture and my heart left cowboying.

I then pursured a career as a highway costruction flagger. Life's been good to me so far.

Good start, Jim.  Mega-hit in progress.

Chit-head was a racehorse, and I wish he was mine, he never drank water, he always drank wine.

Uncle John was a flagger, holdin' up that stop sign, blockin' up traffic, his life was fine.

Two more verses and I got me a song!

Bjorn, it's good to keep the reindeer safe.  I once had a Roy Rogers wrist watch.

Once Cowboy! Allways Cowboy! I became one at the age of 9 when my uncle came back from a visit to California with a sweather with Roy Rogers painted on the front. Before that I spent my years from 4 to 7 saving reindeers from the wolves, inspired by a story about a Lapplander named Sampo (he was from Finland, but Norwegian Lapplanders share territory with both Swedish and Finish Lapplanders). I covered the whole area and the reindeers were very grateful!

Nicely and truly said, Wes.   And you look good in a  mask.  Somehow this morning those old photos say to me how much our parents loved us..   Thankful for that.

Got my mom moved out or her home of 57 years.  So far so good.

Alan, you were kind of a homely kid, but you dressed well.   Pretty horse.
