Currently on the bench. Still in the early phases. Taking shape though.

That's a good idea John with the change. A good way to adjust consistently up or down. I have grown acustomed to using the strat style bridges. I don't think they are the best looking but they are cost effective and they have all the adjustments you need. Up, down, forward and back for intonation. I bought a wraparound bridge for the Detroit guitar and it wouldn't work. That's how I ended up pluging the holes with the .45 casings. Lesson learned but it turned out in the end.

Thanks Cap'n! The guy that's getting this one plays harp and is a big fan of Little Walter. So I'm trying to find a way to use one on this guitar.

LOL, Captain.

That is how it goes for me - the workarounds problems....

Probably won't help here, but a neat thing I saw at KC fest was coins used as spacers between box and bridge.   One guy even had it down to 2 nickels for slide and1 for finger chords.   Talking bolt and nut bridges and wood bridges too.  I may get out in the shop tomorrow and see if it is applicable to a git I want to lower the action on.

Unfortunately the bridge that's laying on there in this picture is going to be too tall for a fretted guitar. The action would be way too high in the back. I just have it on there for reference right now. Going to need a workaround for that as well.

(s)harp :-)

If you go right through the harp holes and use a washer, it should be strong.  Yeah, take the bottom plate off - probably.   It looks like you need to keep the strings pretty low to the box.  Hope it works out.  I may try it too/

Thanks John! I'm thinking that I will have to take the bottom cover off so the it will sit flat. I may just use the cover on top of a block so that it still looks like a harp but stronger. I'm nervous that the harp by itself will be too week with all that string tension on it.

Good luck.   I've used the harp covers, but not the whole harp.  Why not!   Great idea.  Nice print or picture.
