Thanks all,

I'm quite proud of it. Id I can just cure a little buzz if has.

As for the binding, it was easier than I expected. Of course it's all straight edges. Corners would have given me trouble. But I'd already planned to use the corner plates.

I used a1/2 inch router bit with a 3/8 bearing guide. If I keep at it I'll buy a proper set of binding bits.
As for wisdom, measure, measure again and before you route, measure.
