Hi Mark.

That looks like a nice form for bending guitar sides. You should do a video (or photo essay and write-up) of how you use this form and other equipment (heating elements) to bend and shape the wood to build your guitar bodies. I know there are some videos of others doing it on Youtube, but it will be interesting to see how you do it.

And it looks like a wake up call for me to get busy with learning how to build forms and bend wood with heat so I can build more exotic body shapes, including the classic guitar body shape. I think I'll begin with building a form like yours for my oval body shaped dulcimer to finish the failed concept I had using a simple jury-rigged form that failed to keep the wood from warping to the wrong shape. Doing it in two halves should also help minimize spring back. Well, all this will have to wait until I return home to China (where all my woodworking tools are) in September. So many projects to do!
