Thanks, Uncle John. Fingers crossed, but getting the neck angle to accommodate the arch top and a bridge is going to be a challenge for me. Not sure what sort of pup to use, but I'm tending towards a mini microphone on the inside.

Yup, Dog.  I am tempted to get one and do it too.  Hope you get a triple, good looks, easy playing and good sound.

Ermmmm......Uncle John,....have you got any glue ? Haha.

It looks OK in the pic but it's actually a very cheaply made thing. Very roughly finished on the inside with plastic tuning pegs etc. I think that the case, which is old, is probably worth more than the violin.

NOOOO!!!!  That's a Stradavarius worth millions.    Don't chop it!

Ya it would be hard for me to saw of the neck on this one. Old funky broken fiddles are fair game. I have trouble doing in a nice one. You  can see the glowing coals in James eyes, he's ruthless...

Wow, that's different. I also saw this lovely dulcilin that jamie howe made.

Dulcilin

I don't know whether to keep it simple or really pimp the thing.
