This is the latest development in the crafting of the Daddy Mojo, Keni Lee Burgess, Harrison guitar pickups collaboration. We are building this in the classic 1930’s Art Nouveau style.
This build sports a stunning faux Mother of Pearl celluloid
fingerboard and the Daddy Mojo Resophonic cone and overall craftsmanship that Lenny Roberts is famous for.
The pickup is totally custom Harrison 1930’s 3-4 string rail with matching Mother of Pearl celluloid inlay and a brass Art Nouveau appliqué of naked lady reclining on a sliver of the moon . The bobbin top is made from Gidgee wood (pronounced Idgee), Queensland, Australian. As we progress we will ost more photos.

Glenn, you could talk to Lenny on facebook and ask him how he did it. When I made the pickup I measured perfectly so I would not have to sand the material. The pearl thickness in about ..015 thick.
Comment by Glenn Reither on August 13, 2012 at 3:59am Rock!!! I'm definitely doing one of these one day. Question: how hard is it to get the fretboard dead flat? I mean you can't sand down celluloid and keep the finish nice, right? So it has to be really good from the start or you'd have to do heaps of fret levelling?
